Hi, I’m Cecilia — founder of Mini Mermaids Infant Aquatics®.

The water has always been my happy place. I grew up a competitive swimmer, became a lifeguard and swim instructor at 15, and have spent most of my life in or around the pool. After more than a decade of teaching traditional swim lessons to children and adults of all ages, I discovered the Infant Aquatics Survival® method—and it completely changed my path.

Now, as a certified Infant Aquatics Survival® Specialist, I teach life-saving self-rescue skills to little ones in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. My goal is not only to help children love the water but to give them the tools to survive in it.

Before launching Mini Mermaids, I also worked as an elementary school teacher. That experience deepened my love for working with kids and reaffirmed my passion for teaching with purpose. Tragically, drowning remains the leading cause of accidental death for children under five. That statistic is what drives my mission every single day—because even one drowning is too many.

Mini Mermaids Infant Aquatics® is proud to be Southern New Hampshire’s first survival swim school, bringing this essential training to my hometown and the surrounding communities.

When I’m not in the pool, you’ll likely find me sipping coffee, lost in a book, getting creative with a craft project, or soaking up the sun by the ocean.
